The Concert will take place at 7:30pm at St Mary's church, Church Road, Winkfield SL4 4SF, on 7/12/19, and there will be some rehearsals just before.
Please be especially careful crossing the main road, as not all road users respect the 30mph speed limit in the area.
The church forecourt is always available, and so is Popels Hall if there is space available in its carpark.
For the Sunday evening JCC rehearsals, the White Hart pub car park may be used, by kind permission. Only pub customers are permitted to use the pub car park on other occasions, by request of the pub management - except, of course for pub customers - do consider dining there.
The church forecourt is available. Popels Hall car park is unfortunately NOT available at this time (???).
The White Hart pub car park may also NOT be used (unless you are a pub customer).
This means that you should park on the road (on the church side) as overflow if necessary.
Please would SCC people park on the church car-park for their 2.15pm rehearsal.
These are the general arrangements.
Concert-goers and performers are not permitted to park at the White Hart, opposite the church (unless they are also customers of the pub, except by special arrangement!). Do consider dining at the pub to give yourself the facility to park in the White Hart car park.
The main designated closed parking area at The Old Vicarage, about 250 yards from the church towards Reading (west) on the opposite side. It has a gravel drive clearly marked by four white posts, two on each side of the drive, and once inside there is lots of space.
The church forecourt itself is reserved for disabled and a few others. Clearly, car-sharing is desirable, but may not be possible.
This is a picture looking eastward (Ascot direction) from about 300 yards from St Mary's Church. The building on the right of the road in the distance is the White Hart pub, and St Mary's church is directly opposite it but not visible in the photo. The four white posts on the right form the entrance to the Old Vicarage. The car in the distance driving away towards Ascot will reach the church forecourt just a few yards later.
General parking when the forecourt, Old Vicarage (and Old Rectory) are full is on the north (church side) of Church Road, this side of and beyond the church forecourt. Parking attendants will advise.
We hope that these arrangements will work to plan: it is just possible that some adjustments may be necessary on the day. Please advise me (Anthony Hodson Tel 01344 483347 Email aeh@xdotd.com) if you need advice, or if I have missed anybody out. Any new arrangements will be posted on this webpage
